Administrative Assistant

AmeriStaff is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Danville, VA area. The candidate will need to know excel, word, and basic bookkeeping.

Benefits of the Administrative Assistant:

8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Typical will work approximately 30 hours er week, so the start or end times may be adjusted.

Pay: $18.45/hour

Temporary position

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

Administrative support: provide general clerical support to the budget office.

Budget preparation: Assist in the preparation of budget proposals and financial reports, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Financial Record keeping; Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking expenditures, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.

Reporting: Prepare and submit budget and financial accountability reports and other financial reports as required.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate efficient budget management and ensure that financial resources are utilized effectively.

Requirements of the Administrative Assistant:

Excel - minimum intermediate level or higher

Data Entry

Analytical/Problem Solving

Critical Thinking

Strong attention to detail

Typical administrative skills: data entry, filing.

Any experience in accounting or budgeting is a plus
