Warehouse Parts Clerk - 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

Pay Range: $15.80-$18.95 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

AmeriStaff is currently seeking a

Warehouse Parts Clerk to support the maintenance and repair of the City fleet. The Parts Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, locating, researching, ordering, and distributing automotive and equipment parts to mechanics servicing passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate will have

prior automotive parts experience, strong knowledge of vehicle parts and systems, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to accurately identify and source parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide parts and supplies from the warehouse to mechanics performing repairs and maintenance on City fleet vehicles and equipment.

Identify and locate automotive, truck, tractor, and heavy equipment parts based on mechanic requests.

Research parts using catalogs, computer systems, and other available resources when parts are not readily available.

Identify, source, and order special-order and hard-to-find parts as needed.

Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming parts and materials.

Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control.

Monitor inventory levels and identify parts that need to be reordered.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts warehouse.

Enter, retrieve, and maintain information using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Communicate effectively with mechanics, vendors, and other City employees.

Provide timely and professional customer service to internal customers.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Previous automotive parts experience is required.

Experience in an automotive parts store, dealership parts department, fleet operation, or similar environment is preferred.

Experience with companies such as AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA, or an automotive dealership is a plus.

Knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and parts identification.

Ability to research parts and identify appropriate replacement options.

Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work Monday-Friday during the scheduled 2nd-shift hours.

Compensation

The hourly pay range is

$15.80-$18.95 per hour. Final compensation will be determined following the interview process and will be based on the candidate's skills, automotive parts knowledge, qualifications, and relevant experience.

dependable, organized, and knowledgeable parts professional who can quickly identify and locate automotive and equipment parts, research and order hard-to-find items, maintain accurate inventory, and provide excellent support to mechanics responsible for keeping the City's fleet operational.
