Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will support the Plant Manager in overseeing supply chain services to include purchasing, production planning as well as logistics for raw and finished materials at the Lima Facility. This person will be responsible for SAP oversite including inventory management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee procurement of plant materials to include sourcing of materials, testing vendors, communicating company needs to vendors, evaluate / compare vendors for best pricing / material, and document needed data in system.
Support plant production scheduling process to plan production planning, capacity planning, and scheduling of production to meet customers needs.
Oversee Incoming and outgoing Receiving and distribution activities to ensure accuracy of all loads; Closely monitor tasks in SAP for any issues and completion
Manage kitting locations to ensure proper staffing and stock levels for daily operations as well as proper transactions within SAP. These locations include spice, dairy, and tote building rooms.
Manage all site storage to ensure proper material storage, supply for daily operations
Manage departmental hourly employee performance through coaching, counseling, annual merit reviews and progressive discipline; Manage timekeeping for all departmental hourly employees
Direct and resolve shipping operations concerning inventory issues, receipts or shipments
Direct Warehouse IA's (Inventory Analysts) and SAP support personnel concerning issues with inventory and SAP; Monitor the tasks in SAP for any issues or completion
Manage all departmental documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.; Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
Coordinate and work in collaboration with other departments, managers and intercompany resources to ensure good flow of production, safety, and Quality
Manage site supply chain departments yearly budget
Follow all SQF requirements as specified by the SQF Practitioner
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
Qualifications
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Required:
High School Diploma
A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a production environment; Food industry preferred
SAP experience required
Strong inventory systems knowledge
Logistics management
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel)
Ability to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts
Must be willing to attend off-site training
Ability to walk, stand, crouch, lift (25-35lbs), twist, climb, reach on a daily basis
WORKING CONDITIONS
Areas of facility may include controlled temperature zones including areas with refrigeration and noise levels requiring PPE.
