Position Summary:

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis to join a real estate property management organization with a strong presence in a major metropolitan market. This role will focus on cash application, collections, and tenant account management while supporting accounting operations in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Essential Duties:

· Enter and post daily lockbox transactions from banking reports into financial systems.

· Apply cash receipts, including rent and bill back payments, from daily bank activity.

· Communicate with tenants and internal teams regarding outstanding balances.

· Process account adjustments provided by Portfolio Accountants.

· Review and approve tenant bill backs, including utility-related charges.

· Generate and distribute late fee and tenant correspondence reports.

· Maintain accurate tenant records and collection notes in MRI software.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2+ years of corporate accounts receivable experience.

· Property management or real estate industry experience preferred.

· Experience with MRI or similar property management accounting systems is a plus.

Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

· Solid understanding of cash application and collections processes.

· Effective communication and customer service skills.

· Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $32 - 36.
