As a Disaster Recovery Coordinator with Minnesota IT Services (MNIT), you will be working at an agency that believes in public service and enhancing lives with technology solutions. You will provide the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), our partner in performance, with support for the MnDOT IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Program supporting transportation products and services for the good of the Minnesota public. This role requires working closely with the application development, operational support teams and other stakeholders. This role includes coordination of activities that will result in the creation, update, and testing of disaster recovery plans to guide restoration of application in event of a disaster. You will coordinate simple to complex disaster recovery tasks to assist in restoring applications, data, and services in the event they are interrupted by a disaster. This includes collaboration with appropriate resources, participating in root cause analysis and coordination of remediation efforts. You will also collaborate with our MnDOT partners on application continuity and recoverability activities that will be part of MnDOT greater Continuity of Operations (COOP) efforts in the event of disaster.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at 395 John Ireland Blvd, St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of IT related experience in information technology.
Experience must include:
Providing status updates and working with multiple IT service areas, such as Applications, Data, Infrastructure and Service Desk.
Writing, maintaining, and validating technical documentation.
Using and interpreting PowerBI reports and dashboards.
Organization and project management experience.
Working directly with customers to identify, define, validate, and prioritize user needs and requirements.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to effectively serve as a technical liaison between business, IT, and third-party vendors/contractors.
Experience with Continuity of Operations (COOP) analysis and planning.
Understanding of vulnerability management measures and remediation efforts
Experience providing application operations support.
Knowledge of MNIT's services, standards, and processes.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Supporting IT disaster recovery and planning.
Coordinating cybersecurity tabletop and functional testing experience specific to applications, data, or services.
