As a Global Supply Chain Program Manager within our Global Supply Chain organization, you will serve as the end-to-end project owner representing the supply chain function across a diverse portfolio of initiatives.
In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, product management, marketing, and global supply chain teams - including category management, purchasing, planning, supplier quality, and logistics - to lead and execute strategic supply chain programs. These include new product introductions (NPI), cost optimization initiatives, supplier transitions, and supply continuity efforts aligned with category strategies and company objectives.
You will play a critical role in ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and seamless execution, driving projects from early planning through production readiness and ongoing operational success.
This position operates on a hybrid work model based out of Irvine, CA, and applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
You will make an impact by:
Owning project delivery and leading supply chain execution across a portfolio of initiatives to achieve schedule, cost, and milestone targets
Partnering cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure proactive readiness for builds, launches, and ongoing operations
Collaborating with category management to execute sourcing strategies, including target cost development, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and supplier selection
Leading and supporting cost reduction, value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), and should-cost modeling efforts to improve product competitiveness
Managing supplier selection, qualification, and transitions, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and risk objectives
Representing Supply Chain in program reviews, readiness gates, and governance forums, ensuring all supply chain deliverables are met
Driving supplier readiness, including capacity planning, lead times, material availability, and operational capability to support builds and ramps
Monitoring material and supply chain readiness across project stages and proactively addressing gaps impacting cost, quality, or schedule
Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, developing and executing contingency plans to protect program timelines and continuity
Coordinating and aligning global supply chain resources to support critical initiatives and business priorities
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing/Procurement, or Project/Program Management
Experience managing cross-functional projects in a manufacturing or hardware environment
Ability to quickly understand technical drawings, specifications, and bills of material (BOMs)
Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment across global, matrixed teams
Experience working with suppliers and sourcing strategies in a global environment
Knowledge of machined parts, sheet metal, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and electromechanical assemblies
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and timelines
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree or MBA
PMP, CPSM, or similar certification
Experience in industries involving optics, photonics, lasers, or advanced electronics
Familiarity with complex electromechanical or precision components and assemblies
Experience with project management tools and data analytics tools
Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies

Compensation and Benefits:Salary Pay Range: $155,000 - $175,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.? At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
