Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) is seeking a Training Coordinator to support the Enterprise Talent Development (ETD) team. In this role, you will help with the day-to-day work of organizing, delivering, and tracking training programs. This is a people-focused position that involves managing multiple datasets, deadlines, materials, and stakeholder needs. Training Coordinators are often the first point of contact for participants and help ensure programs run smoothly. Training topics include human resources, leadership, supervision, and other professional development areas.
Job duties for this position include:
Scheduling training courses and other assigned programs and communicating those dates as necessary to facilitate smooth operations
Coordinating the collection and production of training materials, such as handouts, presentations, books, or other resources, ensuring adherence to the State of MN accessibility standards
Monitoring and tracking enrollments; sending participant confirmation emails with logistics information
Serving as a technical expert and arranging and hosting virtual workshops, breakout rooms, and in-class surveys on behalf of facilitators
Distributing and collecting evaluation reports and surveys
Running and analyzing reports within the learning management system
Developing and finalizing various @types of contracts for the ETD division
Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) options for this position are dependent on where the employee lives. With approval, employees that live within 50 miles from the primary work location may telework up to 50%. Employees that live 50 miles or more from the primary location and live in Minnesota may telework more than 50% with approval.

Experience must include:
Demonstrated ability to fluently communicate, read, understand, and respond to a variety of communications, such as customers' questions, product catalogs, requisitions, purchase orders, detailed instructions and procedures, inventory records, and distribution lists
Communication skills sufficient to effectively gather and present information in one-on-one and group interaction to customers, clients, and other employees
Demonstrated customer service ability to perform the duties of the position with politeness, respect, and interest in positive problem solving
Demonstrated customer service ability to interpret and explain program information to customers, clients, and coworkers, such as policy, procedures, eligibility requirements, application details, and payment methods
Knowledge of standard computer software programs for processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files
Spreadsheet management skills sufficient to compile lists, spreadsheets, and graphs to track projects and activities
Word processing skills sufficient to prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and @types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors

Three (3) or more years of experience providing advanced administrative support functions, such as drafting and editing official documents, coordinating purchasing and procurement processes, or coordinating and scheduling large events
Experience regularly arranging and hosting large events with many participants and hosts
Experience creating virtual events, hosting/producing virtual training sessions, and providing technical expertise and troubleshooting for instructors and participants on videoconferencing platforms (examples include Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, etc.)
Knowledge of accessibility principles, including digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)
Experience with MN state government purchasing policies and procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated respect for diversity and a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time
Ability to occasionally lift such articles as file boxes, class materials, or heavier materials without help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently
Ability to set up, clean, and organize furniture before and after classes
Ability to move items weighing 25 - 40 pounds while unpacking, packing, and delivering textbooks and other supplies to classrooms
