Summary You will serve as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic in the Production Lines Division, MRO Production Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will perform functional tests and visual examinations to determine the condition of aircraft, aircraft engines, or components. You will evaluate engine performance to determine if defects in one area have appeared as symptoms in other areas of the total aircraft engine system. You will operate diagnostic and onboard electronic equipment and systems to aid in identifying aircraft related problems that may affect engine operation You will interpret technical orders, manufacturer catalogs, maintenance bulletins, multi-view blueprints, and schematic drawings to obtain the technical information needed to troubleshoot, assemble, and trim aircraft engines. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including 1) Performing maintenance and repair of gas turbine engines, systems, components and assemblies supported by the organization; 2) Analyzing problems such as fuel fluctuation, compressor instability, or excessive vibration to take remedial action, disassembling to the extent necessary to make needed corrections; 3) Troubleshooting and repairing operational engines in aircraft or the rebuilt of modified engines in test cells in order to correct the defects on aircrafts that require extensive disassemble; 4) Performing final functional and operation tests on aircrafts following the repair of engines in the aircraft systems, their assemblies, components, and proto@types; 5) Using measuring instruments such as electronic scales, continuity checkers, go-no-go gauges, squares, rules, and vernier calipers and automated test equipment to test disassembled parts for defects.
