Summary You will serve as an Electronics Mechanic Supervisor I in the FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will direct the installation, modification, overhaul, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronics equipment. You will use electrical and electronic theory to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment. You will analyze malfunctions and weaknesses revealed by tests to make necessary repairs and other adjustments. You will recommend ways to improve the reliability of electronics components. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Advise and counsel workers on how to improve their performance and explain new work techniques in the electronic mechanic field. Trains subordinates in proper work methods, use of equipment, and safe work practices as an electronic mechanic. Monitors programs to identify problems such as excessive cost or low productivity, determines causes, and implements corrective actions. Resolves workflow problems and takes action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other causes of delay and inefficiency. Recommends appropriate changes in procedures and gives advice on the probably effects of changes proposed by others.
