Responsibilities The incumbent will serve as the Administrative Operations Director for the Office of Investigations and will be responsible for: Serves as second level supervisor, developing goals and objectives for the branch, assigning work for subordinates and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures; Manage and oversee the administrative activities for the Office of Investigations; Manage the administrative activities of the entire Office of Investigations, recommending approval of budgets, spending plans, functional statements, organization charts, and staffing plans for the organization; Primary point of contact with all regional and Headquarters management staff in the identification of and resolution for all employee relations issues and problems; Respond to a broad range of special study, research and analysis assignment relative to problems or issues of special concern to Office of Investigations and prepares staff studies, analysis and recommendations. Minimum Qualification Requirements For the GS-15: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience demonstrates the following: (1) Provides executive oversight for the activities of administrative services, including human resources, procurement, performance management, facilities coordination and position management; (2) Managing, organizing, and planning budget and financial activities for a program or program area; (3) Leading and supervising professional staff, either directly or through subordinate supervisors; (4) Communicates with senior management officials on issues or problems requiring corrective actions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
