JOB SUMMARY
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, with a specialized focus on workplace accommodations, disability-related benefits, workers compensation, and regulatory compliance. This role serves as a subject-matter expert on the workers compensation and accommodations process, partnering closely with HR, Legal, managers, and external vendors to ensure employees receive timely, compliant, and equitable support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accommodation and Disability Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee accommodation requests, including those related to disability, pregnancy, religion, medical conditions, and workplace injuries
Manage the interactive accommodation process in compliance with the ADA, ADAAA, PWFA, workers' compensation requirements, and applicable state and local laws
Review medical documentation and functional limitations to identify reasonable, effective accommodations
Partner with managers to implement accommodations, transitional duty, or modified work arrangements
Coordinate accommodations with workers' compensation, FMLA, state leave, and disability programs to ensure a seamless and compliant employee experience
Manage workers' compensation third party administrators to drive return-to-work planning and injury-related accommodations
Maintain accurate, confidential records related to accommodations, injuries, and medical documentation
Benefit Administration & Analysis
Administer and support health, welfare, disability, leave, and workers' compensation--adjacent benefit programs
Monitor trends related to accommodations, disability claims, workplace injuries, and return-to-work outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve accommodation timeliness, reduce lost time, and enhance employee outcomes
Support annual benefits renewal and open enrollment activities as they relate to disability, absence, and accessibility
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ADA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, PWFA, and workers' compensation laws
Partner with Legal, Employee Relations, Risk, and Safety on complex accommodation, injury, or return-to-work cases
Support audits, documentation requests, and data reporting related to accommodations, disability, leave, and injury programs
Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidance related to accommodations, return-to-work, and medical compliance
Employee & Stakeholder Support
Educate employees and managers on accommodation processes, injury-related accommodations, and return-to-work expectations
Provide guidance to HR partners and leaders on navigating accommodations in conjunction with workplace injuries
Serve as a trusted advisor in resolving accommodation-related concerns, escalations, or overlapping claims
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Health Administration, or a related field
3--5+ years of experience in benefits administration, accommodations, disability management, and/or workers' compensation coordination
Strong working knowledge of ADA/ADAAA, FMLA, PWFA, and foundational workers' compensation concepts
Experience managing complex, overlapping accommodation, leave, disability, and injury-related cases
Ability to handle sensitive medical and injury-related information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High emotional intelligence and employee-centered approach
Ability to balance compliance, operational needs, and employee experience
Strong judgment in managing medically and legally sensitive cases
Excellent organization and documentation practices
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience supporting return-to-work or modified duty programs
Exposure to multi-state workers' compensation environments
HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or similar)
Experience working with third-party leave, disability, or workers' compensation vendors

Benefits Summary
24 Hour Fitness offers benefit programs designed to meet the diverse needs of all team members, including health coverage, as well as Company paid benefits that are automatically provided at no cost, such as group life and accident insurance. There are eligibility requirements for each plan based on your position, hire and/or service date and your average hours worked. Benefit eligible team members may also accrue vacation hours. Compensation Summary
All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.
Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).
Washington State : Receive 40 hours of sick time on your first day of employment. After 6 months of employment, accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours, inclusive of time carried over.
Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.
Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant.
Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $82,300.00-$100,600.00 (Exempt), $39.56-$48.35 (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $85,900.00-$105,000.00 (Exempt), $41.28-$50.45 (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $77,300.00-$94,500.00 (Exempt), $37.15-$45.41 (Non-Exempt)
