Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC TRAINING LEADER in the Training Section of the Productions Department for PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will conduct formal classroom trade theory instruction for trade apprentices in the basic and advanced trade knowledge. You will conduct, schedule and/or coordinate classroom trade theory instruction for trade apprentices. You will develop, review, and revise the trade training plans. You will prepare lesson plans, visual aids and handouts in order to accomplish the objectives of the trade training plan. You will develop and administer formal and practical examinations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition. Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
