Industrial Sanitation position

Sanitation Technician - Food Production Facility (Night Shift)

-East Syracuse, NY

-$20.00/hour

-6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (12-hour shift)

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable Sanitation Technician to support our dairy manufacturing operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and food-compliant environment. This role is essential to ensuring product quality, food safety, and overall plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize production equipment and facility areas

Follow GMPs, SOPs, and all food safety (SQF) standards

Operate sanitation equipment (floor scrubbers, lifts, etc.) safely

Complete sanitation checklists and required documentation

Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process problems

Communicate effectively with team members and across shifts

Support production needs, including coverage for breaks as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Ability to follow procedures and safety standards

Basic math and communication skills

Ability to operate or learn facility equipment

Previous sanitation or food manufacturing experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Exposure to wet, cold, or humid conditions and cleaning chemicals

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs

Must wear required PPE and work safely at all times

Schedule & Expectations:

Full-time, 40-45+ hours/week

Night shift with weekend and overtime availability as needed

Strong attendance, reliability, and safety mindset required
