A growing, full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner to lead and further develop a sophisticated litigation practice within a key regional market. This is a leadership-oriented role offering a high degree of autonomy, firmwide support for practice growth, and the ability to shape the future direction of a mature litigation platform.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and expand a complex litigation practice with a focus on insurance-related matters and high-exposure disputes

Manage all aspects of litigation, including early case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, coverage analysis, trial preparation, and resolution

Serve as lead counsel in courtroom appearances, depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and coverage interpretation

Handle a diverse and challenging caseload with a high degree of independence

Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and contribute to the professional development of the litigation team

Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, practice growth, and operational planning

Remain current on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices affecting litigation and insurance law

Requirements

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Admitted to the New York State Bar.

10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to build and guide a practice team preferred.

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
