Job Purpose

Manage all aspects of sales for multiple accounts with a focus on meeting or exceeding budgeted sales numbers for designated territory, growing business at existing accounts, and continuously seeking new business opportunities.

Essential Functions

Provide a high level of sales, service, and product knowledge to customers

Grow business within designated territory

Plan general sales strategy, including time and territory management

Plan sales approach with individual customers

Prepare and conduct effective sales presentations

Manage TSSRs in designated territory, including overseeing the scheduling, expense/travel approval, and training of assigned TSSRs to ensure company practices are followed and accountability is maintained

Meet or exceed budgeted territory sales numbers, grow business at existing accounts, and continuously seek new business opportunities

Generate additional business through analyzing sales territory and individual customers

Set up new customer accounts, working cross-functionally to determine pricing, scheduling, order-taking, deliveries, etc.; perform initial follow-up work with customers, ensuring delivery and product satisfaction

Ensure customer satisfaction by providing an exemplary level of service, working closely with Customer Service to prevent and resolve customer concerns

Minimize accounts receivable issues by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms; follow up to ensure resolution

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all product lines and the application of each

Maintain awareness of pricing trends within sales territory to ensure competitive pricing

Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, related field, or equivalent work experience

1-3 years of sales experience; bakery industry experience desired

Experience and ability to call on multiple accounts

Project management experience and an accounting/math aptitude desired

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills

Creative and adaptable mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to business

Strong analytical skills, including data gathering, understanding, and interpretation, with the ability to format and present results in an easily understandable manner

Ability to understand the customer's needs and develop appropriate solutions, leveraging the Rise team

Ability to identify best methods to bring products successfully to market

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $66,000 to $85,000 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your annual salary, Rise Baking Company offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, annual bonus eligibility, incentive and recognition programs and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
