Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Patterson, California. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. The role involves supporting various accounting functions while working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with utility-related tasks within the department.

Handle incoming calls and deliver exceptional customer service.

Process payments and accurately apply them to customer accounts.

Collaborate with team members to prepare work papers and provide necessary support.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to assist with workpapers prepared by the Accounting Technician.

Perform general accounting duties and offer support for ongoing tasks as required.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data.

Ability to post payments accurately and efficiently.

Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
