Position Overview: As a Procurement Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our supply chain operations, with a focus on procurement activities. You will be responsible for data entry, basic procurement tasks, and assisting with various standard purchasing activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the fastener distribution industry.

Responsibilities:

Review data and create accurate purchase orders in a timely manner.

Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to maintain proper stocking levels.

Communicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners.

Maintain accurate supplier information, pricing, and lead times in system.

Contribute and support the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

Excellent data entry skills.

Self-starter with an outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.

Office/procurement experience a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Office Environment

Sitting 80% of time and standing/movement 20% of the time

Occasional travel to other branch locations and suppliers
