Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Belcamp, Maryland. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the Wholesale Distribution industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Oversee inventory releases using company accounting software, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Perform inventory control and reconciliations to maintain precise records and minimize discrepancies.

Conduct margin reviews to support monthly sales initiatives for imports and exports divisions.

Monitor and supervise inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations, including weekly reviews and physical counts.

Manage accounting activities for domestic sales, business park transactions, and employee purchases.

Process inventory transfers, allocations, and balance monitoring to ensure accurate weekly reporting.

Enter and code commercial invoices for purchases and sales within the Imports Division and Tristar Cold Storage.

Assist in maintaining and closing the General Ledger on a monthly basis.

Provide secondary supervision of billing and accounts payable staff to ensure smooth operations.

Create and manage spreadsheets for sales reporting, rebate tracking, and legacy system data. Requirements - Associate's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

At least one year of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.

Proficiency in accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, and Sage Software.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel formulas and Teams.

Exceptional organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.

Solid knowledge of general ledger processes, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with accounts receivable and inventory management practices.
