Job Title: General Laborer Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the production line to ensure that no unwanted materials pass through. Occasionally, the machine may jam, and the General Laborer will work closely with their lead to resolve these issues.

Responsibilities

Monitor the production line for unwanted materials.

Collaborate with lead personnel to unjam machines as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience with general labor and production tasks.

Ability to use hand tools effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in packing, assembly, and packaging.

Familiarity with operating forklifts and basic carpentry skills.

Entry-level position; experience working in dirty or hot environments is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

This position is based in a recycling plant environment, which can be dirty and may have a strong smell. The work shifts are structured as follows: 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, and 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazelwood, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $16.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
