How you will make history here... The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing plant operations for an ingredient and flavor plant that produces over 13 million pounds annually. This role is responsible for a 25 person, 24/5 operation ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the plant. The role involves leading and managing day to day operations across departments, fostering a high performing team-based environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, driving cost management and improvement initiatives and maintaining high levels of customer service. The leader will also promote employee engagement and teamwork through ongoing training, coaching and mentoring. The incumbent will act as a strategic business partner with internal and external customers, suppliers, and peers throughout the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to drive continuous improvement activities leveraging innovative tools and approaches.
