Job Duties:This position works on a unit with routine contact with incarcerated individuals. Day-to-day functions include preparing documents for intake processing to include preparing folders, running criminal history checks on newly received inmates, scanning intake documents, and tracking inmates through the intake process. This position is also responsible for departmental supply orders, mail distribution and other general clerical duties.You'd be a GOOD fit if: You have a high school diploma or GED and bring experience in customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support. You are able to obtain a certificate of course completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedures training from the Texas Department of Public Safety within six months of your employment date. You have general knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, and you demonstrate strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic in all aspects of your responsibilities.Per DivisionYou'd be a GREAT fit if:You have intake, classification, or criminal justice experience and can apply that knowledge effectively in a structured environment. More importantly, you have strong typing skills and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft programs, which are essential for accurate documentation and daily operational tasks.
