Lead, coach, and develop a talented team of 11 events professionals while collaborating with the Key Opinion Leader and Society Engagement team, Business Unit (BU) marketing leaders, sales and market leadership, medical education teams, and Finance to create a high functioning and collaborative environment.
Manage roughly $4.5 million in direct variable spending and influence another $7 million in indirect costs, giving you executive-level exposure to financial strategy and enterprise decision-making. Your skills include strong financial acumen with proven functional budget management, the ability to measure and prove the business impact of tradeshows and events through clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the ability to build an events strategy from the ground up. Artificial Intelligence (AI) fluency and hands-on experience with event management software are a plus.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You're an emotionally intelligent leader with executive presence, strong cross-Business Unit collaboration skills, and deep operational domain knowledge in events. You're comfortable making strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and have the ability to travel to key events as needed.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
This is a field role.
