Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for an oil and gas services organization in Windsor, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong experience in payables, receivables, billing, and account balancing while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help keep accounting records current, assist with invoice and payment processing, and contribute to reliable financial reporting through careful transaction handling.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and enter transactions accurately into the accounting system.

Manage outgoing payments by preparing check runs and ensuring disbursements are completed on schedule.

Support customer invoicing activities, including creating bills, reviewing charges, and following up on payment status.

Maintain accounts receivable records and assist with collections by monitoring outstanding balances and resolving discrepancies.

Reconcile account activity by comparing ledgers, statements, and supporting documentation to identify and correct variances.

Perform a range of general accounting tasks to help maintain complete and accurate financial records.

Use QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, and Microsoft Excel to organize data, track transactions, and prepare routine accounting reports. Requirements - 2+ years of experience in an accounting support or accounting specialist role.

Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and account reconciliation.

Experience entering invoices, coordinating check runs, and maintaining accurate transaction records.

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Sage 50 in a business accounting environment.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills for tracking, reviewing, and organizing financial information.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented setting.
