Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Housekeeping Manager with Opera Cloud experience to oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and grounds meet or exceed brand cleanliness and service standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and proficiency in digital housekeeping management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Oversee daily housekeeping services, including room cleaning, linen management, and public area maintenance, using Opera Cloud for scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking interviewguy.com.

Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff; provide feedback and conduct appraisals interviewguy.com.

Quality Control: Conduct daily and periodic inspections of rooms, public areas, and grounds; ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and brand standards interviewguy.com.

Budget & Resource Management: Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget; monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment interviewguy.com.

Coordination: Liaise with maintenance, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless operations interviewguy.com.

Event & Special Needs Support: Coordinate housekeeping for events, meetings, and special requests Velvet Jobs.

Reporting & Compliance: Generate reports for management; maintain accurate employee and operational records interviewguy.com.

Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with local vendors for supplies and services Velvet Jobs.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in branded hotels, resorts, or large-scale hospitality operations.

Familiarity with GSS cleanliness score systems and performance-based bonuses JobDescription.org.

Ability to adapt to evolving operational needs and leverage digital tools for efficiency JobDescription.org.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality, business, or related degree preferred JobDescription.org.

Experience: 4-6 years in housekeeping, with 2+ years in supervisory roles; experience with Opera Cloud or similar PMS/housekeeping software is essential interviewguy.com+1.

Certifications: Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH), CRCST, CPR, or equivalent preferred JobDescription.org+1.

Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS/housekeeping software; ability to manage multiple priorities Velvet Jobs.

Availability to work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday, with flexibility to assist with alternate shift coverage when needed.

Availability to work weekends

Eventually will need availability to cover PM shifts.

Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
