Job Description:

Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician, assists in performing physical examinations (vital signs, height weight, vision screening, hearing testing, drug & alcohol testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy, etc.)

Assists in the monitoring process for pre-employment candidates to ensure candidates are cleared and qualified to assume their positions.

Maintains and manages all required medical documents for CDL physicals.

Performing general office duties such as filing, data entry, scheduling medical appointments, answering telephones, use EMR (electronic medical records) for performing tests and uploading documents, sending correspondence to supervisors, etc.

Assists with all medical monitoring and wellness programs, (vaccinations, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, etc.)

Assist with audit preparations.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Medical or Nursing Assistant Training Program required.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting, health clinic or provider office

Experience in Drug and Alcohol testing desired.

Knowledge and Skills:

Must be f lexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving fast pace medical environment.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written required.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Must possess computer literacy skills, prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Medical or Nursing Assistant Certification required.

Phlebotomy certification highly desired.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to travel to different locations as needed.
