JOB REQUIREMENTS: For over 60 years Surplus Outlet has been a locally
family owned store that sells heavy duty clothing and footwear. Are you
interested in learning, and have knowledge of footwear and clothing used
by outdoorsmen or construction work? Are you outgoing, self motivated,
honest, polite, and like helping customers? Surplus Outlet offers a
small, stable, friendly family like atmosphere, and we have an opening
for a long term employee that would like to grow with us. Three of our
staff of approximately six have been here for over 15 years each, and
employees that have left have come back to work here again. We are
looking for a friendly, motivated person who can effectively connect
with, and sell footwear and clothing to our construction worker and
outdoors @type customers.HOURS/COMPENSATION: Rotating weekends. Upon
successful completion of training and evaluation competitive pay is
based on experience, responsibilities, merit, and duration of
employment. Plus bonuses, legal holidays off, store discount, paid
uniform allowance, and a work schedule that is done monthly so you can

and hunting footwear, clothing, and camping products. (ability to stand
for extended periods required) - Processing transactions and charges via
point of sale, credit card, and corporate purchase orders. (moderate
computer knowledge required) - Receiving inventory, stocking shelves,
pricing merchandise. (use of stairs required, lifting required 10-30#) -
Maintaining a clean and orderly retail area. - Footwear sales experience
desirable. - Must be self motivated. 30 DAY TRIAL PERIOD. COMPETITIVE
PAY PICK UP APPLICATION AT SURPLUS OUTLET DOWNTOWN RICE LAKE. NO PHONE
CALLS PLEASE Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or
needs. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise
to customers. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know
how to prevent or handle these situations. Recommend, select, and help
locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or
credit payment. Inventory stock and requisition new stock. Exchange
merchandise for customers and accept returns. Place special orders or
call other stores to find desired items. Clean shelves, counters, and
