Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker supports the shipping and receiving department by managing the flow of materials, updating inventory systems, and operating warehouse equipment to ensure an efficient and accurate shipping process within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and condition, and accurately record all information in the warehouse or inventory management system.
Pick and pull orders according to work orders or pick lists, ensuring accuracy in item selection, quantities, and labeling.
Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely, shrink wrapping pallets, and confirming that all documentation and labels are complete and correct.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Handle material flow throughout the warehouse, including staging, palletizing, and organizing inventory to support smooth shipping and receiving operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following workplace safety procedures and reporting any hazards or equipment issues.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet shipping deadlines and production schedules.
Assist with periodic inventory counts, stock rotation, and general material handling tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in order picking and order pulling.
Hands-on experience with shrink wrapping products and pallets.
Ability to perform palletizing and general material handling tasks.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing and checking documentation.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Capability to update and work within warehouse or inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in an aerospace or similar high-precision manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with packaging standards and best practices for shipping.
Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse setting with changing priorities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing warehouse environment within the aerospace industry. You will work around production and shipping areas where materials, components, and finished products move frequently through the facility. The position involves regular use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines, as well as handling pallets and packaged goods. The workday typically involves standing, walking, lifting, and working in a structured, process-driven setting that prioritizes safety and organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
