Job Title: Warehouse Worker (1st Shift)
Job Description
This role is a physically demanding 1st shift warehouse position focused on accurate order processing, material handling, and inventory movement. You will work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, using hand trucks, pallet jacks, handheld scanners, and a proprietary computer system to pull, scan, and load boxes of various materials while meeting productivity and quality standards.
1st shift - M - F - 7:30am
Responsibilities
Scan boxes accurately to ensure correct items are processed and tracked.
Perform precise order pulling while consistently meeting productivity metrics and deadlines.
Maintain strong attention to detail when reading labels, verifying orders, and processing incoming and outgoing materials.
Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift.
Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surfaces or elevation.
Lift and move boxes weighing between 10 and 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis and for prolonged periods.
Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders using established procedures.
Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes and other stored materials.
Operate handheld RF scanners to locate, pick, and confirm orders.
Climb and balance on ladders safely to access materials stored at various heights.
Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Load boxes onto pallets and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts to secure loads for transport.
Manually load pallets onto trucks using appropriate material handling aids.
Perform general labor tasks including picking, loading, unloading, and organizing materials within the warehouse.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, especially regarding heavy lifting and equipment operation.
Essential Skills
Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing 10-50 lbs without assistance on a regular basis and for prolonged periods.
Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, crawl, and twist frequently throughout the shift.
Capability to work on uneven and concrete surfaces while operating material handling equipment.
Experience with general labor and warehouse operations, including order pulling and order picking.
Proficiency using RF handheld scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.
Ability to use a computer-based proprietary system to track orders and locate boxes.
Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, hand carts, and other material handling aids.
Ability to load and shrink wrap pallets and manually load pallets onto trucks.
Strong attention to detail when reading labels and processing orders.
Reliability and flexibility to start at 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Steel-toed boots required for safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling environment.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, productivity-driven setting.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy.
Willingness to perform constant heavy lifting throughout the shift.
Experience with loading, unloading, picking, and general order fulfillment tasks.

Work Environment
This position is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment where temperatures can vary with the seasons. Work is performed primarily on concrete and uneven surfaces, often involving movement up and down stairs and inclines. The role requires frequent use of material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, hand carts, and ladders, as well as handheld RF scanners and a proprietary computer system. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a 7:30 a.m. start time, requiring flexibility to start at 8:00 a.m. when needed. Steel-toed boots are required as part of the safety attire due to constant heavy lifting and material handling.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
