Basic Job Functions: The Detailer is responsible for project coordination and the complete development of 3D models, approval and placement plans, and bills of material in accordance with project specifications and product requirements using Tekla, a comprehensive 3D modeling program. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent focus, and the ability to produce accurate work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The position will involve managing changing priorities, complex project requirements, customer expectations, and overtime needs while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage time, workload, and pressure effectively to meet commitments and support team success. They must consistently and reliably demonstrate the Nucor core values of Safety, Integrity, Trust, Innovation, Open Communication, Teamwork, Inclusion, Courage, Can-Do Attitude, and Ownership. Specific job responsibilities include reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to steel joists and deck to accurately prepare detailed drawings and bills of material. Detailers must be able to fulfill commitments on a regular basis while maintaining a "World Class" level of quality and establishing effective working relationships with Teammates and Customers. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
