What's a typical day as Project Quoting & Materials Manager? You'll be:
Preparing and managing accurate project estimates and quotations based on customer requirements and internal costing information
Serving as the primary contact for customer inquiries, ensuring clear and proactive communication
Coordinating raw material inventory and supporting purchasing, inventory control, and production planning activities
Collaborating with engineering, sales, production, and operations teams to ensure quotes are accurate, orders are aligned, and materials are available on time
Maintaining up-to-date records for customer quotes, orders, and inventory in company systems
Monitoring and communicating schedule changes, material shortages, and order updates to internal teams and customers
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in customer service, quoting processes, and material flow coordination
Negotiating with suppliers to optimize raw material costs and quality
Supervising an Administrative Assistant to support project and materials management functions
Ensuring compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have an associate degree in business, supply chain, operations management, manufacturing, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bring 3-5 years of experience in customer service, quoting, estimating, materials planning, production coordination, or a related manufacturing/operations role
Have experience with raw material planning, inventory coordination, and production support (preferred)
Are skilled in preparing quotations, reviewing specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal)
Are proficient with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other business software
Can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Possess the ability to independently coordinate projects while working collaboratively across departments
