Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on heavy-duty mechanical assembly in a production environment, working with large frames and physically demanding product lines. You will assemble components using bolting methods, operate cranes to position large structures, and ensure all assemblies meet quality and safety standards. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, comfort with hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret basic blueprints while working as part of a collaborative assembly team.
Responsibilities
Assemble components using bolting methods according to specifications and work instructions.
Use overhead cranes and related equipment to safely position large frames, including structures up to 44 feet of square tubing.
Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics to understand assembly sequences and torque requirements of critical components.
Inspect parts and components prior to assembly to verify quality and compliance with standards.
Perform torque verification using appropriate tools to ensure fasteners meet specified requirements.
Work with larger, heavier builds that require consistent physical effort, including lifting and maneuvering heavy materials.
Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools to perform cutting, fastening, and other assembly tasks.
Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
Follow safe work practices and adhere to OSHA standards throughout all tasks.
Handle and move heavy equipment and materials safely, including rigging and guiding loads during crane operations.
Work on ladders and platform stairs as needed to complete assembly tasks at height.
Participate in a team environment of 4-5 people, collaborating with a trained lead who oversees the work station.
Work on the main assembly line for an initial period and then transition to a specialized line as required.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and support general labor tasks such as material handling and line support.
Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive, hands-on mechanical work in a production setting.
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of safe work practices and OSHA standards.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds for up to 60% of a 10-hour shift.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, including pneumatic tools.
Experience with torque verification tools and proper torque application on critical components.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and mechanical schematics.
Experience working with assembly lines and production environments.
Comfort using overhead cranes or similar equipment to position large frames and heavy materials.
Manual dexterity and strong mechanical aptitude for hands-on assembly work.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
Comfort working on ladders and platform stairs for portions of the assembly process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Hands-on experience in trailer assembly, cabinet making, crane operation, or rigging.
Background in oil field work or similar heavy industrial environments.
Manufacturing or environmental production experience.
Experience using tape measures and other measuring tools for precise layout and cutting.
Familiarity with cutting tools and basic fabrication techniques.
Experience working in team-based assembly or general labor roles.
Willingness to start in one assembly area for approximately 30 days and transition to other projects as needed.

Work Environment
This position is based in a production and assembly facility that focuses on large, heavy-duty builds. You will work primarily Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on a 10-hour shift that requires extended standing and regular lifting of heavy materials. The work is performed on an assembly line in teams of 4-5 people, with at least one experienced team member overseeing the station. You will use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, torque verification tools, tape measures, cutting tools, and overhead cranes for moving and positioning large frames. The environment is hands-on, mechanically oriented, and fast-paced, with a strong focus on safety, proper material handling, and compliance with OSHA standards. You may work on ladders and platform stairs as needed, and you can expect a physically active role in a structured industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
