Job Description:
The Ivy College of Business is seeking Alumni Relations Specialist II to strengthen connections between alumni and Ivy students, faculty, and staff. This position will work closely with college and department leadership, key faculty and staff, the ISU Foundation, and university partners to enhance alumni engagement across the college's academic and administrative units.
The Alumni Relations Specialist will lead efforts to identify and cultivate relationships with alumni, provide strategic consultation to departments on alumni engagement, and create opportunities for alumni to support current students through mentoring. Responsibilities also include overseeing the planning and execution of alumni events on campus and outside the state of Iowa and serving as the college's liaison to internal and external alumni organizations.
In addition, this position provides strategic guidance to the Dean on alumni engagement initiatives and evaluates programming to ensure alignment with college and university goals. This position will report to the Dean. The job may require extensive traveling.
Key Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain relationships with distinguished alumni to support engagement and mentorship initiatives.
Serve as the college liaison for alumni relations and represent the college at key events.
Advise departments on alumni engagement strategies and advisory council development.
Plan, execute, and assess alumni events as suggested by the Dean.
Maintain alumni records and support alumni data requests.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in higher education administration, business administration, communications, public relations, nonprofit management, marketing, organizational leadership, or a closely related field.
Experience building and managing relationships with alumni, volunteers, donors, and other external stakeholders to advance engagement initiatives.
Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating staff, volunteers, committees, advisory groups, and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and organizational objectives.
Experience planning, coordinating, and executing events and programs for external audiences, including alumni, donors, community partners, and members.
Proficiency using CRM systems and engagement databases to track relationships, manage outreach efforts, and develop data-informed engagement strategies.
This is a part-time position scheduled to work approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on departmental needs and candidate availability.
