Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (COMMAND AND STAFF PROGRAM) of NAS KEY WEST. Responsibilities You will ensure all personnel who handle classified information or are assigned sensitive duties are appropriately cleared. You will control and maintain appropriate access to databases (e.b. Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Scattered Castle, Gatekeeper, Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS)) for individual security program management. You will use access control systems to manage classification of materials. You will decide the security clearance level necessary for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Enforcing protective measures for safeguarding information critical to national security; 2) Implementing procedures for marking, safeguarding, dissemination, transmission, transportation, escorting, hand-carry, storage and destruction of classified materials; 3) Ensuring personnel security clearance eligibility is continuously evaluated; 4) Submitting Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) applications through Electronic Questionnaires for Investigative Processing (e-QIP) or official system of record to track investigations to completion and adjudication; and 5) Reporting threats to national security, loss, compromise, electronic spillages, and other violations.
