Role summary:
The Director, Supply Chain Management, leads the strategic direction and execution of 3P carrier execution to optimize product flow from grocery distribution centers to stores. This role drives continuous improvement by identifying constraints, managing carrier performance, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The position requires strong leadership to foster collaboration among stakeholders, oversee external partnerships, and support talent development while maintaining high standards of integrity and operational excellence in a dynamic retail environment.
About the team:
The team focuses on managing grocery carrier performance by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions for service issues affecting stores and clubs. They collaborate upstream on forecast visibility, flow discussions, and distribution center adjustments to enhance store service levels. This group drives supply chain execution improvements by coordinating with stakeholders to optimize product flow, address disruptions, and improve supplier performance. Emphasizing operational excellence, the team supports cost reduction initiatives and performance metrics to ensure efficient, reliable delivery aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
What you'll do:
Direct supply chain execution to optimize product flow from supplier to store, ensuring alignment with sales, inventory, and profitability goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve order exceptions, disruptions, and constraints impacting supply chain performance.
Lead process improvement initiatives, championing innovation to simplify workflows and enhance service levels.
Manage 3P carrier relationships, communicating expectations and monitoring compliance through performance scorecards and audits.
Develop and implement strategic plans based on business objectives, cost analysis, and operational forecasts.
Foster talent development, succession planning, and a culture of integrity and accountability within the supply chain team.
What you'll bring:
Extensive experience in supply chain management with a focus on optimizing product flow and inventory profitability.
Proven leadership skills in directing cross-functional teams and managing supplier and transporter relationships.
Strong ability to analyze operational processes, identify constraints, and implement effective resolution strategies.
Expertise in performance management using key performance indicators and scorecards to drive continuous improvement.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
Proficiency in cost reduction methodologies, lean concepts, and business process optimization.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and inspire commitment.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 5 years' experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related
area OR 7 years' experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area.
3 years' experience with advanced functionality of Microsoft Office.
2 years' supervisory experience.
