Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description
This role focuses on wiring electrical control panels using blueprints and ladder diagrams in a climate-controlled shop environment. You will assemble and wire panels according to established standards, prepare and organize wiring and components, and assist with the fabrication of electrical cabinets. This position offers a clear path for growth into areas such as leadership, field service, engineering, and project management.
Responsibilities
Wire electrical control panels on a daily basis following established company standards and procedures.
Read and interpret blueprints, ladder diagrams, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to complete panel assembly accurately.
Gather, organize, and prepare all required wires, components, and supplies needed to complete each control panel project.
Assemble and route wiring within control panels to meet specified layouts, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Use a variety of hand tools and basic equipment to assemble, fasten, and secure components within electrical cabinets.
Assist in the fabrication of electrical cabinets, including mechanical assembly and preparation of enclosures for wiring.
Verify that completed panels meet project specifications, including correct wiring, labeling, and component placement.
Follow detailed instructions and learn the specific methods and standards used for wiring and assembling panels.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools, materials, and components are properly stored and handled.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues, resolve wiring or assembly problems, and improve processes.
Adhere to safety procedures and best practices when working with electrical components, tools, and equipment.
Support other shop activities as needed to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience or training in wiring electrical control panels.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder diagrams.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring practices and basic electrical theory.
Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
Proficiency using common hand tools for electrical and mechanical assembly.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring and panel assembly.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized wiring methods.
Capability to work on a consistent schedule for a 2nd shift (12:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday).
Willingness to work in a shop environment and assist with fabrication tasks as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical or Electronic Associate Degree from a technical institution such as Ranken, similar technical schools, or ITT is preferred.
Previous control panel wiring experience is preferred.
Graduates or entry-level candidates from electrical or electronics programs who can demonstrate working knowledge from school are encouraged to apply.
Experience reading and working from mechanical drawings in addition to electrical schematics is beneficial.
Familiarity with climate-controlled manufacturing or assembly environments is a plus.
Interest in developing a long-term career path in areas such as leadership, field service, engineering, or project management.

The organization closes during the week of Christmas and New Year's Eve, offering additional scheduled time away from work. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
