Summary of Position We're seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support our manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment, contributing to process optimization and problem-solving. Intern Duties & Responsibilities

Assist manufacturing engineers in analyzing and improving production processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Support the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Participate in the design and implementation of fixtures, tools, and equipment to optimize assembly and test operations.

Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve workstation design and operator efficiency.

Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.

Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

QualificationsMajor(s): Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

School Year(s): Senior, or Recent Grad

GPA: Min 3.0

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
