The Underwriting Account Executive leads the execution and servicing of assigned accounts, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to support successful placement, retention, and growth. This role manages the full account lifecycle-from submission through binding and renewal-while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with client and carrier requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage accounts from submission through binding, including coordinating all required documentation and communications
Partner with brokers and underwriters tosolicit, quote, andmaintainnew and renewal business
Negotiate coverage terms with carriers, including pricing, deductibles, enhancements, and exclusions
Selectappropriate carriersand manage the marketing process for assigned accounts
Prepare and deliver quotes, coverage comparisons, and recommendations to support placement decisions
Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and carrier guidelines
Issue binders, invoices, and confirm coverage details, ensuring all documentation is complete andaccurate
Maintain ongoing communication with agents, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensuretimelyexecution of account activities
Support retention and renewal strategies byidentifyingopportunities to expand coverage and strengthen client relationships
Provide guidance and direction to support staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery
Conduct research and prepare account or market analysis to support client and business development efforts
Maintainaccuraterecords and manage all correspondencein accordance withcompany standards
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and carrier capabilities through ongoing education and training
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Progressive experience in wholesale insurance, brokerage, or underwriting support roles (typically 3+ years)
Demonstrated experience managing accounts, marketing business, and supporting placement activities
Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage structures, and market dynamics
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions with limited supervision
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active state insurance licenserequiredin applicable lines of business
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier guidelines
Ability to negotiate terms and evaluate coverage options to supportoptimalplacement outcomes
Effective account management skills across the full lifecycle (submission, quoting, binding, renewal)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability tointerface acrossinternal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and systems used for policy and account management
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build andmaintainrelationships with agents, carriers, and internal teams
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in decision-making
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends and market developments
The annual base salary for this position is $65,000.00.
