Job Description
The General Operator supports seed production operations throughout the year by performing a wide range of tasks that ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced agricultural environment. This role follows standard operating procedures and work instructions to handle seed receiving, processing, packaging, warehousing, and equipment support across different seasons. The position requires strong reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to working safely while maintaining high seed quality.
Responsibilities
Perform daily duties safely and efficiently while consistently maintaining seed quality and following standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Work independently or as part of a team to support production activities across multiple departments and seasonal operations.
Adjust to changing conditions and anticipate operational needs to keep production flowing smoothly.
Make appropriate independent decisions within established guidelines to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Maintain excellent attendance and reliability to support continuous operations and seasonal peaks.
Communicate clearly in both verbal and written form with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
Handle physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds, working indoors and outdoors, and walking on uneven surfaces.
Follow all site safety policies, including seatbelt and electronic device policies, and use required personal protective equipment.

Pay increase from $19 to $22.22 after 720 working hours have been met.
Work Environment
The role is based in a seed production facility and warehouse environment that operates year-round with seasonal peaks. You will work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to warm and cold weather conditions and occasional work on uneven surfaces. The facility follows strict safety standards and requires the use of personal protective equipment, including steel-toe, over-the-ankle work boots (provided by the worker), a high-visibility hard hat, general purpose gloves, a high-visibility safety vest, and safety eyewear (provided on site).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
