As the Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:

Receive calls during office hours for shelter screenings and client questions.

Complete intake and discharge process for all clients

Identify available resources.

Provide referrals and linkages to other community agencies as appropriate.

Support clients in implementing their plans.

Develop safety plans for clients

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate M inimum Salary: $20.00

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Maximum Salary: $24.00

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM (35 hrs/week) Subject to call

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree in related field preferred

1 year or less of experience working in human services or relevant work experience

VALID NYS Driver's license
