Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be part of the Office department supporting the finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range:$20.00 an hour

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, on-site

What's the Job?

Open incoming mail and date-stamp all invoices

Match invoices with Purchase Orders and Receiving Reports (3-way match)

Accurately enter invoice data into MAPICS

Maintain organized filing of invoices and related documentation

Prepare weekly accounts payable checks, bank wires, and ACH payments; match payments with invoices and mail remittances

What's Needed?

Minimum 1 year of Accounts Payable experience

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Proficiency with integrated ERP systems for Accounts Payable

Familiarity with IBM systems and Infor/MAPICS, preferably in a manufacturing environment

High School/GED degree

Ability to pass background check and drug screen
