Position Overview:
The Controller oversees the financial operations of all southern sites in our Nuclear Operations Group. The Controller's responsibilities include analyzing financial data, developing accurate quarterly forecasts and monthly updates, providing accurate financial reports to management, leading their team in process improvement initiatives to continue delivering quality information efficiently, strategically positioning their team for sustainable high-performance, and partnering with operations to deliver on financial commitments by minimize production costs and maximize profits while ensuring compliance with all financial policies and government regulations.
This position has a segment-wide scope of responsibility and influence with stakeholders across multiple locations and organizational levels domestically. This position will lead a team of twelve (12) finance and accounting employees.

Your Day to Day as a Controller:
Plans, directs, and reviews the overall accounting department operations and activities.
Performs staff planning, performance reviews, and budgeting functions for the department.
Develops policies and procedures for the accounting department.
Directs the execution of the financial accounting cycle.
Designs, develops, and implements financial systems and their modifications and enhancements.
Reviews and monitors compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
Generates the company's financial reports in a timely manner.
Evaluates and assesses all phases of the capital assets program.
Ensures financials are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Required Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial reporting, financial systems, and leadership.
Strong knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
Excellent communication skills.
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Ability to travel to different company sites and external conferences or training sessions.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
