Duties Description Critical maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure and facilities, including campgrounds, boat launch facilities, offices, flood control facilities, recreational facilities, road systems, vehicles, foot trails, utilities, bridges and dams. These activities are essential to ensuring the protection of the public health and safety. It is necessary that the selected candidate has a working knowledge of construction best practices and techniques along with experience operating dump trucks, tractor trailer's, bull dozer's, excavators, front end loaders as well as small equipment including chain saws, power tampers, etc.

Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation of equipment and the possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the @type of vehicle operated.

Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 11/30/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.Must be able to work in remote areas.Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must obtain a Class B CDL within 12 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements and no air brake restriction.
