The Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in supporting sourcing, planning, and material management through accurate data entry and meticulous maintenance of supply chain information. This position ensures that supply chain parameters, pricing, supplier records, and part master data remain current and aligned to support operational execution, compliance, and cost accuracy. The role collaborates closely with Strategic Sourcing, Planning, Buyers, Engineering, and Finance to maintain data integrity in Epicor and related systems while supporting supplier-related activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier information and pricing data in Epicor and related systems.
Support supplier price updates and assist in identifying and implementing cost improvement opportunities.
Manage the data accuracy of imported goods, including taxes and compliance-related documentation.
Maintain supplier price lists and preferred supplier assignments to support sourcing and purchasing decisions.
Create, update, and maintain part master data, ensuring completeness and consistency across systems.
Update and maintain the Qualified Manufacturer List, obsolescence data, and other key operational attributes.
Process engineering purchase order receipts and support system data cleanup activities to ensure data integrity.
Partner with sourcing and planning teams on continuous improvement efforts across supply chain processes.
Contribute to the delivery of supply and production plans that meet internal and external demand expectations.
Support supply forecasting activities to align inventory and production with demand.
Identify supply chain risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
Review current inventory management practices and recommend updates suitable for commercial-scale operations.
Use data and analytical tools to identify and resolve supply chain issues and drive process improvements.
Follow structured workflows and standard operating procedures while suggesting enhancements where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with sourcing, planning, engineering, finance, and suppliers to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Take ownership of recurring tasks, manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, or data administration.
Knowledge of ERP systems, with Epicor experience strongly preferred.
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Ability to manage recurring tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tools for analysis and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to follow structured workflows and processes.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with sourcing, planning, engineering, and suppliers.
Proven problem-solving skills, using data to identify issues and develop solutions.
Accountability and ownership of tasks, deliverables, and timelines.
Experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or operations planning.
Ability to take complex, ambiguous problems and build clear, actionable execution plans.
Hands-on mindset with comfort operating in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) logic, planning parameters, and part master structures.
Experience in manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Experience working in a regulated industry; medical device industry experience is strongly preferred but not required.
Familiarity with quality management system (QMS)-driven environments.
Experience supporting commercial launch or scale-up activities.
Working knowledge of Epicor ERP (preferred but not required).
Experience assessing sourcing and supplier risk for both domestic and global suppliers.
Interest in contributing to a growing organization where ownership, visibility, and building meaningful processes are valued.
Work Environment
This role is based in Maple Grove, MN, with a hybrid/remote work arrangement that offers flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with on-site teams. The position is offered as either contract or contract-to-hire, providing an opportunity to grow with the organization during an important phase of expansion. You will work in a lean, fast-moving environment that values ownership, visibility, and continuous improvement. The organization operates in a regulated setting, often aligned with medical device and QMS-driven standards, and uses Epicor ERP and related data tools to manage supply chain activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
