Position: Junior Accountant

Location: Hollister, CA

Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour

Temp to Hire

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is an on-site position in Hollister, with the opportunity to join a collaborative accounting department and build on foundational accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice and payment management.

Accurately process company payroll in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing activities, such as reconciliations and journal entry preparation.

Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks.

Generate internal financial reports as requested.

Support audit preparation and help resolve accounting inquiries.

Collaborate with the accounting team to drive process improvements and ensure data accuracy.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, specifically with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month/quarter-end close procedures.

Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial close processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with general ledger management and bank reconciliations.

Experience with processing in-house payroll is preferred.
