REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager - Revenue Capture Vapor in Winston-Salem, NC
The Senior Manager role serves as a key advisor to the VP Vapor Commercial Finance and Sr Director Revenue Capture role by collecting, managing, forecasting, and presenting financial information to enable informed decisions regarding vapor category financial outlook. This role provides comprehensive understanding of the financial variances' vs SPLY monthly (actuals and forecasts).
This role plays an integral part in providing finance support for the Vapor category. The ability to develop a working knowledge of Vapor category coupled with finance/accounting acumen will be crucial to provide insightful financial perspective. Finance digital transformation journey is embedded in Commercial finance teams and proactive on this area will be key in the role's performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Function as the lead finance contract for the Vapor Category in terms of P&L deliveries.
Manage the monthly budgeting cycles through coordination with staff and stakeholders.
Work closely with CP&A to drive financial stability and high accuracy of data, planning & analysis.
Partner with all levels within finance to foster effective relationships that contribute to achieving financial objectives
Challenge unrealistic forecasts by understanding business needs
Capture insights related to financial data drivers and trends to assist CFLT in achieving P&L deliveries towards meeting company guidance
Deliver accurate, timely, aligned information
Communicate via storytelling; enable Vapor Finance team to quickly digest trends, risk/opportunities, as well as drive decision-making
Indirectly Manage and coach support teams outside US; create an environment that fosters development and embraces the company's values.
Oversee month-end closing accountabilities including journal entry preparation, review, and approval; variance analysis; and reporting based on GAAP and company accounting practices
Automate and bring in efficiency, driving continuous improvement initiatives
What are we looking for?
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, or related area
Knowledge of ERP & reporting systems (e.g., SAP, BPC, Power BI, etc.)
CPG industry experience
Strong knowledge of finance and commercial strategy
Understanding of consumers, customers, opportunities, and risk to drive business growth
Strong problem-solving skills
Entrepreneur mentality to see this business as your own and to drive results and performance
Demonstrate strategic thinking, with strong influence and leadership skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision, while being a self-starter
Confidence and ability to challenge the status-quo to move the business forward
High sense of urgency, work ethics and flexibility
Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to influence responsible budgeting
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
Working understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); general understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and impact vs. GAAP.
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint knowledge.
Exceptional analytical skills with ability to link results to drivers.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Work with a high degree of independence.
Self-motivated, results oriented and assertive
Strategic thinking, ability to quickly translate data into key business implications
Team player
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
MBA and/or CPA preferred
