Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting various accounting processes. Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries, including payroll-related entries, in alignment with established accounting standards.

Support month-end closing activities for multiple locations, ensuring accurate account and bank reconciliations.

Monitor and manage fixed asset schedules while providing thorough documentation for audits and reviews.

Assist in conducting variance analyses and participate in ad hoc financial projects.

Maintain organized and detailed financial records to support internal and external reporting requirements.

Collaborate with team members to identify and mitigate risks within accounting processes.

Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Contribute to general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US accounting standards. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

Minimum of one year of experience in general ledger-focused accounting.

Proficiency in US accounting practices and financial operations.

Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

Ability to work collaboratively, ask insightful questions, and assess risks in financial processes.

Hands-on experience with journal entries and general ledger management.
