Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Berthoud, Colorado. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing the accounts payable cycle, ensuring that all vendor payments are processed accurately and on time. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to financial operations while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Accurately review, verify, and process invoices in compliance with company policies.

Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to validate proper documentation before payment.

Obtain necessary approvals for payments to ensure adherence to organizational procedures.

Prepare and execute vendor payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transactions.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and documentation.

Address vendor inquiries professionally to support positive external relationships.

Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts analysis as required.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company guidelines in all payment processes. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and account reconciliation.

Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check payment methods.

Strong skills in coding invoices and ensuring accurate documentation.

Familiarity with financial controls and regulatory compliance standards.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
