ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Eareckson Air Station. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. Transportation to EAS from Anchorage, AK, is provided by government-sponsored aircraft.
This Temporary position will last for maximum of 90 days.
Summary/General Description of Job:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs stock orders and maintains inventory records and receipts. The incumbent unpacks, shelves, and places items in the proper storage location. May occasionally be required to do food preparation work.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Confers with department supervisor to determine reorder of food items and to inform supervisor of location and availability of food items.
Confirms weekly food order with Services Supervisor.
Performs various physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise, including manually unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations, and transporting goods by forklift, hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
Verifies that orders are accurately filled.
Checks for damaged goods.
Transports kitchen and food supplies to dining facility or cold storage upon their arrival on island, as needed.
Tracks shortages and damaged inventory and reports it to Services Supervisor for disposition.
Retrieves daily food supplies from cold storage.
Maintains inventory records and receipts.
Performs periodic stock inventories and prepares material requisitions for replacement items as required.
Updates inventory database after all supply transactions.
Insures shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
Prepares and keeps records of goods shipped, e.g. manifests bills of laden, etc.
Maintains office and warehouse spaces as required.
Performs in culinary worker positions as required.
Performs related work as assigned.

Work Conditions:
The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to understand instructions, provide information, and respond to safety warnings. Work conditions require the employee to stand; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of experience in the field of procurement, logistics, or supply.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment fingerprints, background check, physical, and drug test.
Preferred
Previous experience working on a military installation.
Previous experience working in a remote location.
