Reference #: JR5284 STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Buildings team. This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days a week in the office. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time.

Responsibilities: Assist in HVAC designs, calculations, and reports for various building projects. Participate in equipment selection and specification writing processes. Lead projects under the guidance of senior engineers. Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance as needed. Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and make recommendations based on their needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, traffic, and geotechnical engineers. Plan, organize, and develop engineering activities for construction and maintenance projects. Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devise innovative approaches to solve engineering problems. Prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs. Monitor work to ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices. Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and team objectives.

Required: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.

Compensation Range:$45,675.00 - $51,903.00
