Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Air Defense Sensor Installer/Maintainer to perform full-spectrum communications-electronics maintenance. Deploys, installs, maintains, and repairs fixed and mobile radar systems, subsystems in support of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe's Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) Program. This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) NO REMOTE WORK
What You'll Be Doing:**
Install, maintain, and repair a variety of advanced, ground-based radar systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues to ensure optimal radar performance.
Perform system upgrades and modifications to keep the radar equipment at the cutting edge of technology.
Work with different radar technologies and use specialized tools and test equipment for diagnostics and repair.
Provide on-site training and technical support to military personnel and other end-users, ensuring they can operate the systems effectively.
Create and maintain detailed service reports, system logs, and other essential documentation.
Work in diverse and challenging environments, which can include remote and sometimes hazardous locations.
Collaborate with a team of fellow technicians, engineers, and military experts daily.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and conduct tests, including feasibility studies, requirements-based testing, and parametric optimization studies.
Install and integrate RF systems and equipment in fixed and tactical environments.
Conduct site surveys, draft test reports, out briefs, and status reports to upper management and customers, ensuring timely and effective communication of results and recommendations
Work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of recent specialized experience, OR an associate's degree plus 7+ years of recent specialized experience, OR a major certification plus 7+ years of recent specialized experience, OR 11+ years of recent specialized experience.
Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar technologies, specifically the DRS RADA RPS 42/82/92/202 series
Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed service reports, system logs, and other documentation.
Establishes requirements for maintenance and support equipment, tools, and spare parts.
Checks and inventories equipment and project materials for serviceability.
Reviews and ensures compliance with maintenance management publications and procedures.
Analyzes operating characteristics of equipment to determine sources of malfunction.
Fundamental understanding of radar principles, operations, and signal processing.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
Expertise in troubleshooting both hardware and software components of radar systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Ability to apply a logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing training and technical support to end-users.
Adaptability and resilience to work effectively in diverse, challenging, and potentially hazardous environments.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Active DoD Secret Clearance required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
Knowledge of related technical fields, including IT networking, cybersecurity principles, and mechanical repair.
Experience working directly with military personnel or in a defense contracting environment.
Familiarity with military standards, protocols, and documentation procedures.
Proficiency in a foreign language, which can be valuable for international assignments.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
